DRAIN MAINTENANCE

The primary objectives are to enhance and maintain over 500 miles of a complex drainage system that adequately services agricultural land and protect the area from a 1 in 20 year flood (agricultural standard), and the annual maintenance of over 800 transportation crossings.

The secondary objective is to reduce the quantity and velocity of runoff waters from agricultural land and to systematically manage runoff water originating in Riding Mountain National Park. Before and after picture of drain cleanout. Map of District Drains
